Privacy Policy
Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how Solar Exit Group (“Solar Exit Group,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you visit gosolarexitgroup.com, submit a case review request, or otherwise communicate with us.
Solar Exit Group provides document gathering, case-file preparation, and case-intake services for homeowners with solar leases, power purchase agreements, and solar loans. We are not a law firm. We do not provide legal advice or legal representation. With your authorization, we refer prepared case files to independent, licensed law firms.
Our mailing address is 2001 S 2550 W, West Haven, UT 84401. You can reach us at info@solarexitgrp.com or 833-765-2711.
Information we collect
We collect the following categories of personal information:
Information you give us directly
- Contact details — your name, phone number, email address, and the state where the property is located.
- Contact preferences — the best time of day to reach you.
- Solar contract details — the type of agreement you signed, the finance company or lender, the installer or sales company, the year you signed, your approximate monthly payment, and a description of what went wrong.
- Documents you choose to send us — contracts, financing agreements, disclosures, correspondence, billing statements, UCC filings, and similar records relating to your solar transaction.
- Anything else you tell us — in a phone call, email, or text message with our team.
Information collected automatically
- Technical data — IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring page, and the pages you view on this site.
- Usage data — the dates and times of your visits and how you navigate the site.
Information from other sources
- Public records — where relevant to evaluating a case file, we may review publicly available records such as county property records, UCC filings, permit records, and state licensing or enforcement records.
- Referral partners — if you were referred to us, we may receive your contact details and a summary of your situation from the referring party.
We do not knowingly collect Social Security numbers, financial account credentials, or government identification numbers through this website. Please do not submit that information through the case review form.
How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- Respond to your case review request and contact you about it.
- Evaluate whether your situation is something our process can help with.
- Request, gather, organize, and prepare the documents that make up your case file.
- Refer your prepared case file to an independent law firm, with your authorization.
- Communicate with you about the status of your file.
- Operate, maintain, secure, and improve this website and our services.
- Comply with legal obligations, respond to lawful requests, and enforce our agreements.
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
How we share your information
We share personal information only as described here:
- Independent law firms. This is the core of what we do. When your case file is prepared and you authorize us to proceed, we transmit it to one or more independent, licensed law firms so they can evaluate whether to offer you representation. Those firms are separate businesses. Once your information is in their hands, their own privacy practices and professional obligations govern how they handle it.
- Solar Exit Partners. Our parent company, for internal administration, quality review, and support.
- Service providers. Vendors who help us operate — website hosting, form processing and email delivery, phone and messaging services, document storage, and analytics. They are permitted to use your information only to perform services for us.
- Legal and safety. When we believe disclosure is required by law, subpoena, court order, or other legal process, or is reasonably necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of any person.
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not rent or trade your contact details to unaffiliated marketers or lead brokers.
Calls, texts, and your consent
When you submit the case review form or give us your phone number, you are asking us to contact you about your solar contract situation. You consent to receive calls and text messages from Solar Exit Group at the number you provide, including calls placed with an automatic telephone dialing system or a prerecorded or artificial voice, and including calls to a mobile number.
Consent is not a condition of any service or purchase. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies.
You can stop contact at any time:
- Reply STOP to any text message to end texts. Reply HELP for help.
- Tell any representative on a call that you do not wish to be contacted again.
- Email info@solarexitgrp.com with the number or address you want removed.
We will still send you transactional messages necessary to complete a request you have already made, unless you ask us to close your file entirely.
Cookies and tracking
This site uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies. Strictly necessary cookies keep the site functioning and remember where you are in the multi-step case review form.
Analytics
We may use analytics technology to understand in aggregate how visitors find and use this site. If we do, this section will describe the provider, what it collects, and how to opt out.
Managing cookies
Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of the case review form from working.
We do not currently respond to browser Do Not Track signals, because no common standard for them has been adopted. Where required by law, we treat a Global Privacy Control signal as a valid opt-out request.
How long we keep information
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide our services and for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal, accounting, and recordkeeping obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
Case files referred to a law firm may need to be retained longer, because the underlying legal matter may remain active for years. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it.
How we protect information
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encrypted transmission of this website over HTTPS and access controls limiting who on our team can view case files.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send confidential or sensitive information by unencrypted email. Communications with Solar Exit Group are not protected by the attorney-client privilege, because we are not a law firm and no attorney-client relationship is formed by contacting us. If you need privileged communication, speak with a licensed attorney directly.
If you believe your information has been compromised, contact us immediately at info@solarexitgrp.com.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Know and access the personal information we hold about you and how we use it.
- Correct inaccurate personal information.
- Delete personal information, subject to legal exceptions.
- Obtain a copy of your information in a portable format.
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information — though as stated above, we do not sell or share personal information for advertising.
- Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.
Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Virginia, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws may have some or all of these rights under their state statutes.
To make a request, email info@solarexitgrp.com or call 833-765-2711. We will verify your identity before acting on a request, and we will respond within the timeframe your state's law requires. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with proof of authorization.
Children
This website and our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Third-party sites
This site links to other websites, including our parent company and other outside resources. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of any site we do not operate. Review the privacy policy of any site you visit.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes will be posted here before they take effect. Your continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
